Education & Skills
The PLMR team works with providers and suppliers across the education sector to promote education reform, campaign for new projects, raise the profile of organisations, support outreach around planning, manage reputational risks and lobby around specific policy issues. Our political and operational knowledge is second to none and we have excellent media contacts across the sector. The impact of our work in education has been recognised internationally at the Cannes Lions Festival of International Creativity, where we won two Gold Lions for Best Use of Media Relations and Best Use of Public Affairs for our work with Durand Academy.
The breadth of our education work spans primary, secondary and higher education. We work with a pioneering secondary academy using ground breaking teaching techniques in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) and languages. We support one of the most high-profile primary schools in the country, as they campaign for a better future for disadvantaged children. We provide public relations advice to suppliers of services to schools and we campaign on behalf of a prestigious educational publisher and we provide pro bono assistance to an education think tank. PLMR team members have also previously advised institutions including the University of Liverpool and the National Youth Agency.
We help our clients in this sector communicate their messages with the decision makers that matter to them and with local, trade and national media, getting them the attention their hard work deserves and showcasing best practice for others to follow. Education is not just something we are passionate about during the working day - two of our team are also School Governors in their private lives. We believe no other agency in the UK is better placed to deliver results for clients in the education sector.
