Professor Tim Morris sits on the PLMR Board as a Non-Executive Director. He contributes a wealth of relevant experience and expertise in animal health and welfare, food and feed safety and audit, biosciences and research, as well as in wider public affairs.

Professor Morris qualified and practised as a veterinary surgeon, obtained a PhD from the University of London and worked in medicines research and then public and government affairs at GlaxoSmithKline for 20 years, working across industry and with media and governments.

He went on to establish and lead the new established British Horseracing Authority’s medication and anti-doping programme and animal welfare strategy as Director of Equine Science and Welfare.
