Account Manager

As an Account Manager, Shannon provides media, public affairs and reputation management advice to clients across a range of industries, with a particular focus on the health and social care sector.

Shannon’s work involves securing trade, local, regional and national media coverage for clients, supporting them to navigate reputational challenges, delivering high-quality written materials and providing bespoke media training.

One of her recent successes was delivering a string of national print and broadcast coverage for a national care provider, including BBC One, The Mirror, The Sun, and The Metro among others.

Shannon’s experience includes working for a global charity where she supported international campaigns, provided communications advice and engaged with media across time zones.

Before moving to the UK Shannon held various roles in the New Zealand Government working in media, stakeholder engagement and crisis management. She served as Press Secretary to the Minister of Health gaining invaluable experience in health media, policy and in campaigns.

She also worked in other roles in the NZ Government including for the Minster of Trade, Minister of State-Owned Enterprises, former Prime Minister, Leader of the Opposition and the Spokesperson and former Minister of Education. In these roles, she engaged in media management, speech writing, media training and interview preparation, event management and stakeholder relations and management with Ministers, MPs, Government departments, NGO’s, charities and the public.

Shannon also has governance experience, serving as a member on several boards including on her University Council where she sat on the finance, risk and capital asset committees as well as her role as Chair of a company which delivered high-profile national and international events.
