Account Director

Sara is an Account Director who works with clients in the tech, health and social care and professional services sectors. Her diverse skillset enables clients to achieve their objectives using a range of communications tools, including positive media communications, government relations, stakeholder engagement and reputation management.

Since joining PLMR in 2015, Sara has designed and managed award-winning campaigns, she has advised clients through high-profile and reputationally important national media opportunities, including interviews with Sky News, Today Programme and The Times, and she has successfully supported a client increase their visibility, and as a result their revenue, to enter the top 100 firms in their industry. Sara has also advised US-based companies on their UK launch strategies, securing endorsements from Government Ministers and Parliamentarians and organising profile-raising events to ensure a seamless entry into the UK market.

Sara is passionate about supporting charities and she is skilled at short term, cost-effective media campaigns, which help them to raise their profile at a national level and push for change through leveraging this attention to secure meetings with relevant Government departments, including the Department of Health and Social Care.

In 2016, Sara worked alongside the Mary Seacole Memorial Statue Appeal to organise the launch of the first statue of a black woman in the UK to national and international news publications.

Previously, Sara was the Grassroots Coordinator at youth democracy organisation Bite The Ballot, working on their 2015 General Election campaign to encourage young and marginalised voters to register to vote. During the campaign her role included liaising with local government, MPs, press and other interested parties to further the campaign’s aims.

Sara graduated in 2012 from Durham University with a BA(Hons) in Philosophy, Politics and Economics.
