She is an experienced consultant having previously worked with organisations across the health and social care, education, transport and local government sectors. She has delivered successful public affairs campaigns supporting clients to engage with government ministers, politicians and civil servants, across Westminster and Whitehall , as well as in the devolved nations, English regions and local government to achieve their objections.
She has also helped clients to build coalitions and collaborate with wider stakeholders, to deliver hard-hitting campaigns and secure media coverage in the national, local and relevant trade press.
Katie also has experience working in the charity sector, having previously worked at the Refugee Council, supporting the communications and marketing team. She also worked at international affairs think tank, Chatham House, where she helped to run the organisation’s press office, drafted press releases and supported the events team with media engagement.
Katie has a BA in International Relations and Asia Pacific Studies from the University of Leeds and also holds a MA in International Studies and Diplomacy from SOAS, University of London.
Outside of work, Katie is a school governor for a federation of two primary schools in South London and is an active member of the Conservative Party.
