PLMR’s Emma Divers named on prestigious PR Week 30 under 30 list

PLMR’s Scotland Manager, Emma Divers, has been named as one of the industry’s ‘stars of the future’ by leading industry publication PR Week.

PR Week’s prestigious ‘30 under 30’ list recognises the top PR professionals under the age of 30 working across agency and in-house roles. The list is compiled by an expert judging panel including PRCA Director General Francis Ingham.

Emma joined PLMR as an Intern in the PLMR Scotland office and in the space of two years rose to become the Scotland Manager, advising clients across the UK on how to navigate the distinctive Scottish political and media landscapes.

Over the past year she has led on some of PLMR’s biggest accounts, overseen change strategies for a national charity; successfully defended clients’ reputations in the face of aggressive media enquiries; and launched Scotland’s first ever redistribution supermarket.

In the past three months she has also played a pivotal role in supporting several social care clients navigate the communications challenges presented by the coronavirus pandemic – leading on reputation management, crisis response and stakeholder engagement.

Emma said:

“I’m so pleased to have been recognised by PR Week, and particularly the panel of industry experts, as one of the top 30 young people working in communications in the UK.

“From the moment I joined PLMR as an Intern I knew that this was a great place to build a career that would challenge me every single day. I’m excited to see what the future brings”.

Tim Knight, Managing Director at PLMR, said:

“We are so proud of everything Emma has achieved since joining PLMR and it’s been great to be a part of her progress to date. She demonstrates a fantastic knowledge of the political and media environments north of the border, providing vital expertise for our clients, and she delivers fantastic results.
