PLMR shortlisted for four prestigious national industry awards

Following a standout year where PLMR has supported a raft of businesses and organisations that have been on the frontline of the fight against COVID-19, PLMR is excited to have been announced as a finalist in four categories at the prestigious PRCA National Awards.

Campaign shortlistings include:

  • Broadcast Award, for PLMR’s work bringing two-time Olympic Gold Medallist Daley Thompson’s ‘Daley Fitness’ classes to the nation’s households, in an exclusive deal with Virgin Media TV.
  • Crisis Management, for our work with a care home provider that was significantly impacted by COVID-19 and aggressively hounded by national media and politicians alike.

Two of PLMR’s most exceptional consultants also received personal shortlisting, including:

  • Scotland Manager, Emma Divers, a finalist for Young Communicator of the Year. This follow’s Emma’s previous inclusion on the prestigious PR Week 30 Under 30 in July 2020.
  • Managing Director, Ollie Lane, a finalist in the PR Leader category which recognises his standout contribution to clients and PLMR’s continued growth over recent years.

The PRCA is the world’s largest professional PR body, representing more than 35,000 PR professionals in 70 countries worldwide. The PRCA National Awards is one of the most important set piece moments in the PR industry, and a chance to celebrate the industry’s successes over the last year.

Nathan Hollow, PLMR’s Associate Director, said:

“To be nominated for four awards at this year’s PRCA Awards is an outstanding achievement.

“It is a testament to the hard work that all of PLMR’s exceptional consultants have put in over the past year, particularly supporting clients across several key worker sectors to help them navigate the communications challenges posed by a global pandemic.

“We are particularly pleased that two exceptional colleagues, Emma and Ollie, have been recognised in an individual capacity given their highly impressive contributions to clients and to the business. This speaks to both the quality of PLMR’s training programme, with Emma having started her career at PLMR, and to the quality of our executive leadership team. Whatever happens on awards night, this is already a huge celebration for us all.”

Winners will be announced on 10 November.
