Graphic Designer at PLMR

PLMR is a successful, fast-growing communications agency with a dynamic, vibrant team that works across a number of high profile clients to deliver public affairs, public relations and digital solutions for its clients.

As the Graphic Designer you will provide high-quality design and creative advice to the company on client accounts, marketing material – including corporate branding and document design, new business proposals and pitches. You understand the importance of design in communications and will lead online and offline design projects, from concept to delivery. You’ll be working with a diligent, dedicated team who are committed to providing fantastic creative results for clients.

Main Responsibilities:

You will engage in a variety of tasks which may include:

Design & Creativity:

– Developing innovative concepts and designs, while ensuring consistent branding across digital and print
– Working with account teams to advise on their clients’ design requirements and delivering timely and compelling material
– Demonstrating illustrative skills with rough sketches and working on layouts ready for print
– Presenting finalised ideas and concepts to clients or account managers
– Generating new business presentations to differentiate our offer within the industry
– Maintaining a consistent brand identity and developing the company marketing materials
– Project managing all assigned briefs
– Proofreading to produce accurate and high-quality work

Internal:

– Complete accurate daily timesheets on Harvest
– Collaborate with colleagues across the business to ensure that they are confident in selling PLMR’s design services
– Contribute to opportunities for continuous improvement in all areas of role delivery and the wider team processes and practices
– Maintain a high standard of personal presentation for all client interactions
– Communicating effectively internally to manage work levels and deliverables deadlines
– Fostering a positive day to day working environment

General:

– Maintain excellence in graphic design and future technology market information
– Be an ambassador for design within the business
– Keep up to date with current trends and developments
– Ensure that PLMR remains timely and current in the use of graphic design
– Maintain and expand your own networks within creative circles
– Any other ad-hoc tasks as instructed by the Line Manager, member of the PLMR Board or Executive Committee

You will need:

– A highly creative portfolio showing a breadth of projects across various mediums
– A high level of competence in the Adobe creative suite (particularly Photoshop, InDesign and Illustrator) and an understanding of HTML, CSS, JavaScript and WordPress
– Passion and enthusiasm for design, with a creative flair
– Good presentation skills and the confidence to explain and sell ideas to clients and colleagues
– An eye for detail while working to tight deadlines and finalizing designs
– Strong time management and project management skills, ability to juggle multiple projects
– A flexible approach when working in a team
– Being open to feedback and willing to make changes to your designs
