PLMR is a successful, fast-growing and award-winning communications agency with a dynamic, vibrant team that works across a number of high profile clients to deliver public affairs, public relations and digital solutions for its clients. In 2017 we substantially increased revenues, won awards for our public affairs and media relations work, and exceeded our clients’ expectations at every stage. We’re looking for someone with the drive, determination and expertise to help us make 2018 even better.

As an Account Manager you will be a central member of the PLMR team providing high quality public affairs, corporate communications and media relations servicing to our clients. You will have at least two years’ experience in a communications environment, working as a consultant providing support and advice to corporate clients, including advising at Board level. You will also have a strong commercial drive, helping to take a team that is experiencing rapid growth to the next level.

In this role you will progress your consultancy skills; overseeing the day to day management of client accounts including household names and FTSE 100 businesses, and maintaining positive client relationships, spotting policy trends and identifying issues which might impact on client activity and actively developing new business ideas and initiatives alongside the senior management team. You will manage both junior and senior colleagues to ensure PLMR meets and beats client expectations at every level.

You will have excellent written and verbal communication skills, be well organised, highly motivated and able to work under your own initiative.  As a manager you will be a team player with excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to supervise, motivate and lead colleagues.  You will have a proven ability to deliver on commitments, plan workloads, identify issues and find solutions.  You will have your own networks within political and media circles which you will maintain and expand.

Experience working in the energy and/or sustainability sectors is preferable, but not essential.
