The PLMR team are delighted our support of the Mary Seacole Memorial Statue Appeal has been recognised by Lord Soley of Hammersmith, Chair of the Appeal.

In a letter written to PLMR colleagues, Lord Soley said:
“Your hard work with the media – and in many other ways – in the run up to, and on the day, really was vital in making the day such a success.”

PLMR were proud to support the unveiling of the Mary Seacole statue, which was the first statue of a named black woman in the UK.

Having been introduced to the appeal in 2015, PLMR supported the charity with pro-bono communications and media advice in the lead-up to and during the unveiling ceremony. Through PLMR’s support, the appeal achieved wide-spread media coverage across UK print and broadcast media, as well as in target international publications.
