The Big Deal helps people reduce their energy bills, by collectively switching suppliers. For their launch, they needed a way to communicate the benefits of collective switching, and encourage people to join.

Our approach
PLMR believes video is one of the best ways to make complex messages easy to understand, and suggested a piece of shareable, findable video content would help bring their brand to life. Our in-house video production service meant we were able to help The Big Deal go from a brief to a finished product in just a few days. Our Senior Consultant and Head of Broadcast, Mike Ramsden, listened to their needs in an initial meeting, and provided two options for them to consider. Together, they developed one of those concepts into the video above. It featured prominently on their website at launch.

Our production team managed the whole shooting and editing process, from sign-off of the script, to delivery of the finished film. Using our broadcast-quality camera and sound-recording equipment, we shot the film in a busy high street.

At the film’s heart is a vox pop – a great way connect with an audience. Mike’s 18 years experience as a BBC news reporter meant he was able to gather the right material during filming, encouraging people to talk about the subject matter the client needed.

Once back at PLMR’s offices in Westminster, PLMR provided in-house editing facilities, including the creation of bespoke graphics and visual effects, sound mixing and a professional voiceover. Management at The Big Deal approved the film, and it was delivered to them in high-resolution, broadcast-standard quality, along with a compressed version small enough to be shared by email and through social media.
