Summary of Scottish First Minister Questions - 10/11/16

This week in First Minister’s Questions the Scottish Government came under fire for the collapse of an investment pact between the Scotland and China. Opposition parties criticised the Government for blaming the ‘political climate’ for the deal’s failure. Conservative leader Ruth Davidson demanded that the Government be more transparent and make it clear why the deal failed.

Labour Leader Kezia Dugdale brought attention to the fact that it was Equal Pay Day and, in light of Donald Trump’s election victory, asked what the Scottish Government is doing to make Scotland a fairer and safer place for women. In her response the First Minister said she that while regrets the outcome of the US election, she respects the will of the American people and went on to outline her efforts to increase quality in Scotland.
