Our work for the drug discovery industry has included lobbying the UK Government on vaccine procurement, crisis management counsel during the fall out from the Northwick Park drug trials and helping to coordinate both the Single Piece of Legislation Coalition – which led to the introduction of new, specific legislation to deal with animal rights extremism against those conducting legitimate medical research, associated organisations and service providers – and it’s successor, the Better Regulation Coalition, which involved engaging with Government at a Ministerial level to reform the administration of the Animals (Scientific Procedures) Act 1986.

Following the coming to power of the Coalition, the ongoing pressure on public finances and the continuing lack of liquidity for growing and emerging companies, the challenges for the life sciences sector have never been greater.
