PLMR are pleased to announce the hire of Nicolas Clark from The Crown Estate

PLMR is pleased to announce that Nicolas Clark will be joining its growing team as of July 2016.  Nic brings with him more than half a decade’s experience in politics and communications having worked for a number of MPs, with the Conservative Party and most recently having spent 3 years in the Corporate Affairs Team at The Crown Estate, an £11bn property business.

Nic’s role as Media & Public Affairs Manager at The Crown Estate has included providing public affairs insight and policy positioning at corporate level as well as across the business’s real estate assets, such as enabling development and strategic land opportunities; engaging with key political and media stakeholders, and providing media and select committee training.

An Army Reserve Commissioned Officer with the Honourable Artillery Company, Nic also brings five years’ of military experience including operational service on the 2015 Ebola response effort in Sierra Leone where he worked as a Liaison Officer between government departments (DfID, FCO, MoD and local), foreign forces and NGOs. This experience complements PLMR’s commitment to the Armed Forces having recently joined the Armed Forces Corporate Covenant and worked closely with military charities for over six years delivering industry-leading campaigns to support these causes.

Prior to The Crown Estate, Nic was Senior Parliamentary Assistant to Edward Timpson MP, Minister for Children and Families and former PPS to Theresa May MP, during which time he supported the Minister on both his constituency and ministerial remits, and developed strong working relationships across Government Departments and the backbenches.

Following PLMR’s recent announcement that former adviser to Boris Johnson whilst Mayor of London, Joe Mitton, is to join the team, Nic will further complement Conservative Party links having held a number of positions within the party at local and regional level as well as having stood as a council candidate and worked for Conservative Campaign Headquarters in 2010.

Nic will join PLMR as a Senior Account Manager, further adding to PLMR’s political and corporate credentials.
