Nic is a Senior Account Manager with a wealth of experience in politics and communications having worked for a number of MPs, with the Conservative Party and most recently having spent 3 years in the Corporate Affairs Team at The Crown Estate, a £12bn property business.
At PLMR Nic works across with a range of clients across sectors to raise their profile, build their reputation and achieve their public affairs objectives.
In his role at The Crown Estate, Nic provided public affairs insight and policy positioning at corporate level as well as across the business’s real estate assets, such as enabling development and strategic land opportunities; engaging with key political and media stakeholders, and providing media and select committee training.
An Army Reserve Commissioned Officer with the Honourable Artillery Company, Nic also brings five years’ of military experience including operational service on the 2015 Ebola response effort in Sierra Leone where he worked as a Liaison Officer between government departments (DfID, FCO, MoD and local), foreign forces and NGOs.
Prior to The Crown Estate, Nic was Senior Parliamentary Assistant to Edward Timpson MP, Minister for Children and Families and former PPS to Theresa May MP, during which time he supported the Minister on both his constituency and ministerial remits, and developed strong working relationships across Government Departments and the backbenches.
Within the Conservative Party Nic worked as a Campaign Assistant in the 2010 General Election and co-ordinated grass roots campaigning for No2AV and Boris Johnson’s 2012 re-election campaign. He has stood as a council candidate and continues to be involved as an officer in the volunteer party. Outside of politics Nic is a School Governor at a primary school in London.
