Nathan joined PLMR in 2011 after previously interning in the Parliamentary office of Andrew George MP. In this role he gained invaluable experience across health, environment and energy policy areas. Nathan was also heavily involved in the complete redesign of Mr George’s website, and introduced a number of initiatives to better facilitate communications between the MP and his constituents
Prior to this Nathan worked as the ‘Yes to Fairer Votes’ Cornwall Campaign Manager for the 2011 referendum. In this role he was responsible for the strategic management of the referendum campaign across the county for the Liberal Democrats. This position gave him invaluable experience of working extensively with the local media, where he was interviewed for the South West Politics Show, and represented the ‘Yes’ campaign during a live hour long debate on Radio Cornwall. He also wrote a number of articles for the local press, as well as securing fantastic press coverage for the ‘Yes’ campaign by holding regular public meetings, PR events, and producing numerous press releases.
Nathan has a strong background in campaigning and was actively involved in both the 2005 and 2010 General Elections campaigns .He also holds the position of Youth and Student Representative on the Executive Committee of the St Ives Liberal Democrat branch.
Nathan is a graduate of the University of Kent where he studied Politics and International Relations.
