Elin Twigge

Associate Director

As an Associate Director at PLMR, Elin has been at the heart of PLMR’s expanding Green, Health & Social Care and Education practices, taking the lead for clients in these sectors on a day-to-day basis.  Working closely with in house teams Elin has delivered national print and broadcast media coverage, organised Ministerial meetings, facilitated visits and speeches for Cabinet Members, organised public exhibitions, briefed participants in Parliamentary Debates, engaged directly with MPs and Councillors and acted as a spokesperson for clients when reputations have been challenged.  Her work was recognised in 2011 when she was shortlisted as a ‘Rising Star’ in the industry at the Public Affairs News Awards.

On behalf of PLMR Elin has also spent time working in-house with one of the largest primary academies in the country, co-ordinating their academy conversion and helping to drive the campaign for a better future for their pupils to Government. The school has become known as a flagship education provider, both sectorally and nationally and Elin continues to be instrumental in communicating their successes.

In the renewable energy sector Elin’s team lead the way, supporting some of the most innovative developers in the country as they seek to deliver a low carbon infrastructure for the 21st century.  Amongst PLMR’s green clients is a company working to construct Europe’s first truly sustainable biomass from waste power station in the East of England and an infrastructure developer forging ahead in the biofuels and biolubricants sector.

Elin’s ability to take control in a crisis scenario has also been noted at the highest levels.  She has acted as a company spokesperson in court cases, handled reputational challenges for clients at the national level and was recently parachuted into an NHS Hospital Trust to support their in house team with strategic communications.

Elin is a regular ambassador and spokesperson for PLMR and has appeared in print and broadcast media commentating on current affairs.  She holds a Master’s Degree in International Development from the LSE and achieved a First Class Honours at UCL in Politics and East European Studies.
