As PLMR’s Group Director of Digital, Alex is responsible for managing all of PLMR’s digital communications activities and our growing digital practice. His role involves online campaigning, strategic content planning, website development, management of online media profiles and effective use of digital advertising. He also provides internal and external digital training, as well as advice on online reputation management.

Alex has worked on some of PLMR’s biggest projects. In 2016, Alex devised the digital strategy for #SaveOurEarlyYears, the law-changing campaign to reverse a Government decision that would have caused thousands of nurseries to close across the UK. This work was awarded Digital Campaign of the Year at the 2017 Public Affairs Awards.  In 2017, Alex worked with 38 Degrees to live-stream 14 hustings events across remote parts of the UK during the 2017 snap General Election – reaching over 2 million viewers. In 2019, Alex was named PRCA’s Digital Professional of the Year. In 2020, Alex worked with the Food Foundation to create #KidsMealsMap, a web platform inspired by Marcus Rashford that helped organisations across the UK to advertise their support for families in food poverty. The project won Best Use of a Communication Tool in a Campaign at the 2021 PRCA Digital Awards.

Alex is an active member of the Labour Party and has worked on many campaigns over the years, including providing design and online marketing advice for London Labour. In 2016, Alex worked on the historic election campaign of Emma Dent Coad, Kensington’s first ever Labour MP. Alex has provided digital training and advice to a number of MP’s including Marsha de Cordova, Florence Eshalomi and Mayor of West Yorkshire Tracy Brabin.

Alex graduated from the University of London in 2012 with a BA (Hons) in Philosophy specialising in Political Philosophy.
